Workplace first aid requirements
In Uruguay, workplace first aid is governed by Law No. 5,032 (1914) on accident prevention, complemented by Decree 291/007 implementing ILO Convention No. 155, administered by Ministry of Labour and Social Security (MTSS), General Inspectorate of Labour and Social Security (IGTSS). Employers must ensure a trained first aider is available at all times.
