Se você trabalha na área de primeira infância em Uruguay — seja em creche, pré-escola, ambiente familiar ou acampamento — a certificação em primeiros socorros e RCP não é opcional. É uma exigência de licenciamento, e por um bom motivo: crianças estão entre as mais vulneráveis a engasgos, reações alérgicas e lesões. Estar preparado para intervir pode mudar tudo.

O que Uruguay exige

In Uruguay, Act 18,360 and Decree 330/009 apply to all institutions, including the private Early Childhood Centres regulated by INAU, and require at least 50% of staff to be trained in first aid and basic CPR. That training must be delivered by an authorized institution and renewed every two years. It is a concrete, verifiable obligation, not merely a recommendation.

Uruguay has no childcare-specific framework for anaphylaxis or epinephrine, and adrenaline is dispensed as prescription ampoules, with auto-injectors not routinely available or publicly subsidized. The sound practice is therefore to record each child's allergies, obtain written parental authorization to administer any prescribed medication, and keep it stored safely and within easy reach.
